Here
is some expert
advice!
Linda from Wading
River asks... What
is the quickest and
most secure method
of removing bad
credit from a credit
report? Is there an
agency or do I have
to go through a
lawyer which I know
would be costly?
Thank you very
much for the
inquiry. This is a
very good question.
Can an individual
repair his or her
own credit? Sure,
but is it the most
effective way to go?
I would say the
answer is NO.
Repairing credit the
right way is more
than just a simple
"band-aid" approach
that many so -called
"experts " might
advise. True and
long-term credit
repair demands a
detailed evaluation
of all the factors
and habits which
contribute to the
overall score. Once
the analyst has
determined what the
causes are, only
then can an "action
plan" be put in
place to address
these causes. True
success requires a
cooperative effort
between the credit
analyst and the
client.
Unfortunately the
credit repair market
is flooded with a
vast number of
companies who claim
to be able to
achieve incredible
results. My advice
is that the buyer
needs to do his/her
homework and be wary
of fantastic claims.
Just like in weight
loss- there is no
magic bullet for
credit repair. It
takes focus,
determination and
accurate
information. The
benefit of working
with a law firm
experienced in these
matters is that you
are guaranteed the
company you are
working with is
operating within the
parameters of the
law. Only an
attorney can do
"Legal" credit
repair. A law firm
that undertakes to
handle credit repair
for you will charge
you for their time
and is the only
entity that can
legally charge an
upfront fee for
their services. A
law firm can
advocate and
negotiate on your
behalf and
understands how to
use the consumer
protection laws to
your benefit.
Remember, there are
many things that we
can do ourselves:
cut the grass,
change our oil,
draft a will- but
the question becomes
is it a prudent
decision to do it
myself or is it
something better
left to the
"EXPERT".
Legal credit repair
through our firm
starts at a very
reasonable fee of
$595.00. The initial
consultation is free
and you are under no
obligation.
